Which bin do I need?
Whether you're dealing with a large volume of trash, construction debris or green waste, a rental bin saves you trips to the transfer station and keeps your property clean. DIY renovation, yard makeover, garage clean-out or estate clean-out: we've got a bin for it. Fill it with your junk and debris, call us, and we haul it away and weigh it.
We deliver roll-off bins (dumpsters) across Salt Spring Island, from Ganges to Fulford Harbour and Vesuvius Bay.
We rent two sizes only: 12-yard bins for residential customers and 40-yard bins for commercial customers. We offer flexible rentals for short-term projects (30 days or less) and long-term needs.
Only a bag or two of garbage? Skip the bin and use our bag drop ($7 a bag). Scrap metal? Bring it to the transfer station: see scrap metal recycling. Running a business? See commercial garbage pickup.
Renovating a home built before 1990?
For renovation or demolition projects on homes built before 1990, a clean asbestos permit is required before bin delivery. Please call us at 250-537-2167 for details.
How does bin rental work?
- Send a request. Use the form below or call. It's a request, not a booking.
- We confirm. We call to confirm the bin and date, then email or text you a secure Clover link to save your card for the $500 deposit.
- We drop it off. You fill it, then call us when you want it picked up.
- We weigh it. We weigh the bin on our certified scale and charge the final amount to your card on file (the card you saved through the Clover link).

For asbestos, book a dedicated asbestos bin through our asbestos transport form. Paint and chemicals can go to Island Community Services Recycle Depot, 349 Rainbow Rd (250-537-1200).
Drywall is OK: Drywall is accepted at $0.41/kg if it is date-stamped or comes with a test report, and is not mixed with other garbage. If drywall is mixed with other garbage in a bin, the $400 sorting fee applies.
A $400 sorting fee applies to any bin that contains banned materials.

12-yard bin
Residential projects, yard work and clean-outs. 12 ft long × 8 ft wide × 4 ft high.

Operational surcharge: An operational recovery fee that helps offset the escalating costs of running our transfer station, including compliance with environmental regulations, facility upkeep, and operational expenses. It applies to bin rentals only, not to drop-off at the transfer station.
Example: a 40-yard bin delivered Oct 20 and picked up Oct 27 is ($650 + $13 + 6 days × $10) + 10% surcharge = $795.30, plus weight at $0.41/kg (the 10% surcharge applies to the weight charge too). Amounts are before GST; GST is added after.
Deposit: once your date is confirmed, we email or text you a secure Clover link. You enter your card on Clover's page; we never see or store your card number. After weighing, we charge any amount above $500 or refund the difference.
